We really enjoyed our stay, especially the spacious room that comfortably fit our family. The location was superb, allowing us to easily explore key sights on foot. The hotel staff were welcoming, and we loved the extra touch of having water in the room.
My wife says that a wider selection of tea bags would be nice.

Our stay at Altona was delightful! The location was ideal, just a short walk to the metro, making it super easy to visit attractions. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always available to help. Our room was clean, cozy, and had a lovely view of the courtyard, which added to the peaceful atmosphere.
Occasional noise from the street could be heard.

I had a great stay at Altona. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the Barbès-Rochechouart metro station. It made exploring Paris super easy. My room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing me with water bottles during the hot weather. However, the occasional noise from the street could be heard, which was a bit bothersome at times. The shower was also quite small, not ideal for everyone. I enjoyed the balcony, which added a lovely touch. Overall, my experience was good, but some noise insulation would be a nice improvement.

The location near Gare du Nord made it easy to explore the city. Staff members Monica and Bruno provided personalized service that truly made my stay better.
The room, while clean, could use some updates.

This place suits me perfectly! It offers excellent wi-fi, helpful luggage storage, and 24-hour reception. I still remember how the staff helped me with currency tips on my first visit. I highly recommend you check in early for the best service. I'm coming back for another trip!

missingWrote a review on Sept 07poor soundproofing
Soundproofing seems like a forgotten concept here. you can hear every door banging from the corridor, and any chatter from neighboring rooms feels like it's happening in your space. I also had a day without room cleaning, which seemed odd given the otherwise decent upkeep. I noticed some dodgy characters lurking near the metro station, so while the hotel feels safe, the immediate area can give off a sketchy vibe—worth keeping in mind.

So, we spent two nights, and the hotel was surprisingly clean and comfy. They had this daily room service, and it was nice getting fresh tea and coffee every day.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but let’s be real, it was still within reason.

Perfect spot for exploring Paris!
We stayed here for 4 nights and loved how close it was to 2 metro stations. Staff were super friendly, helped us with local dinner spots, and breakfast was a steal at 6.5€. Rooms were clean, but the shower could’ve used more water pressure. Overall, had a nice cozy experience.

The location was great for exploring Paris, with many attractions a short walk away. The room was clean and comfortable, equipped with a kettle and refreshments that were a nice touch. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when we needed extra water during the hot weather. Only downside was hearing some noise from neighbors at night, but it wasn't too disruptive.

More accessible seating in the common areas needed.
